As Bobbi Kristina Brown lies in a medically induced coma at the Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta, her father Bobby Brown is by her side. The ex-husband of the late Whitney Houston released a statement to Us Weekly about his daughter on Sunday, Feb. 1.
"Privacy is requested in this matter," he said. "Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time."
He did not provide an update on the 21-year-old's condition, but Bobby Brown's legal counsel, Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC, did say, "The report that Bobbi Kristina Brown has been taken to the hospital in Atlanta, Georgia is accurate. No additional information will be forthcoming."
Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious by her husband Nick Gordon at home in the bathtub on Saturday, Jan. 31, and was rushed to the hospital. According to TMZ, she has been placed in a medically induced coma and her situation is being described as "significantly diminished."
The incident is particularly eerie: Nearly three years ago on Feb. 11, 2012, her mother Whitney Houston was found dead in the bathtub of her Beverly Hills Hotel room.
