Nick Cannon's marriage to Mariah Carey isn't going to the dogs — at least, not in the literal sense. On Friday, Oct. 24, the America's Got TalentHost, 34, stopped by The Meredith Vieira Show, where he set the record straight about some rumors that are going around about his relationship with his estranged wife.
Asked about the couple's recent separation, Cannon said there are a lot of "untrue" reports. "You know what I heard the other day?" he began. "I heard that there's a family dispute over our eight dogs. It's the Jack Russell puppy dispute."

The reality, he told Vieira, is much more ordinary. "It's truly just staying focused on family and what's right and getting through these times and just doing what's right for the kids," he explained, referring to twins Moroccan and Monroe, 3, whom he and the "#Beautiful" singer welcomed in April 2011, after three years of marriage and a painful struggle with infertility (including a miscarriage).
Later, while chatting about his elaborate new tattoo, the comedian alluded again to Carey, albeit vaguely. After explaining his redone ink — which he got to cover up the "Mariah" tat on his upper back — he tried to convince Vieira that she should get a tattoo on her ankle. His suggestion? A heart — nice and generic. "Don't put anyone's name!" he cautioned.
