Hip-hop artist Akon gave away 60,000 concert tickets to his fans in Africa and then donned a huge plastic protective bubble reportedly to avoid contracting Ebola from them.
The five-time Grammy nominee, who is from St. Louis, Missouri, reportedly considers Africa to be his home, so he was thrilled to make a homecoming to perform for fans in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
He had just finished serenading thousands of attendees and exited the stage to engage in a crowd surf, but not without his bubble.
The concert was an effort to bring peace to the city of Goma, which many refer to as the most dangerous city in the world.
The performance was a part of a greater effort to support the United Nations' International Day of Peace.
