Kim Kardashian thought her family's reality TV empire would crumble amid her divorce from Kris Humphries.
The 34-year-old revealed in an interview on The Drum with WPP chief executive Sir Martin Sorrell that she was convinced she'd ruined her career amid backlash over her split with the NBA player.
She even announced to her family at the time that she thought their careers were over and hoped they had 'saved their money'.
Kim wed Humphries in 2011 and filed for divorce after only 72 days of marriage, which only became finalized in 2011.
The reality star, who is now married to Kanye West, explained that amid the divorce she made a family announcement.
And now we'll just continue to do our clothing stores and continue to do what we did before the show,' she said at the time.
But now she can admit, 'I was being very paranoid. Very paranoid.'
In response she said, 'I took some time off and it was very good for me.'
The candid chat came after Kim attended, along with her mother Kris Jenner and little sister Kylie, the MailOnline yacht party in Cannes on Wednesday night.
Kim has since gone to London where she was seen on Thursday with her husband Kanye.

It was widely reported during her divorce from Humphries that the marriage was simply a publicity stunt, despite Kim's claims to the contrary.
Even a man, Jonathan Jaxson, claiming to be Kim's former publicist began giving interviews alleging that the entire wedding was a ploy for publicity.
Of course, Kim overcame the scandal and had a child with Kanye in June 2013, who she later married in the summer of 2014.
Kim has just announced she is now pregnant with her second child with her husband and her career has only skyrocketed from there.
